*In order to simulate the stall boundary of a compressor more accurately, under steam ingestion conditions, a two-dimensional stability-analysis model is developed. The model simulates compressor flow by solving compressible, two-dimensional, unsteady Euler equations using appropriate source terms. Normally, viscosity is considered for compressor flow when compressor characteristics, expressed by the Navier-Stokes equation or by experiment, are used to calculate the source terms, and when compressor characteristics for engineering applications rather than field flow is the focus. In this work, the control equation is assumed to be non-viscous. The source terms associate with inlet parameters of the compressor by inputting a corrected correlation method. The model is used to calculate the stall boundary of a compressor under steam ingestion, and the results are compared with stall boundary under clean conditions to investigate the effect of steam properties on stall boundary. As more steam is ingested, the corrected similar flow increase at the stall point while the total pressure ratio decrease under total temperature distortion remains constant. The calculation also shows that the corrected correlation method reflects the effects of gas properties on the compressor characteristic line – a quality absent in traditional methods. And if you want to investigate the effect of other gases on compressor, just modify these parameters corresponding to gas properties in the corrected correlation.*
