Nowadays, design for reliability and mission assurance have become an integral part of system design. System designers rely on commercially available dependability tools in order to assess the reliability of their systems. In the recent years, reliability assessments have gained widespread importance in many technological areas such as, the nuclear, aerospace and other industries. However, it is extremely difficult to obtain the UAV accurate reliability due to some reasons such as the secretary and limitation in data, it is supposed that typical samples like similar components to have comparatively analysis. UAV is a typically complex system and adopts redundancy techniques to ensure higher reliability. *Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are increasingly get popularity in many applications. Their operation requires high level of safety and reliability to accomplish successful missions. In this study, the reliability was comparatively analyzed by different available approaches to select the efficient method. First, failure model of the system is developed. Then, three different scenarios are considered to study the effect of redundancies on the system reliability results. In the first scenario, there is no redundancy where in the second scenario there is only one redundant component and in the third scenario, there are three redundant components. Static reliability analysis such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Markov Chain (MC), and Bayesian Networks (BN) are applied on proposed scenarios and results are obtained. Regarding to time dependencies between redundant components, a dynamic-based methodology is also developed in this study through applying Dynamic Fault Tree (DFT) analysis. Proposed static and dynamic approaches are applied on an UAV as a case study and results are discussed. Finally, characteristics of each methodology and related conditions are clarified for selecting the efficient reliability analysis approach. *The main achievement of this research is comparison evaluating between three most known approaches in modeling and analyzing in reliability of systems like case study is studied in this work. As discussed in previous sections we can study the reliability of an UAV with in two approaches, statically and dynamically. By applying those methods, we can see that the dynamic approach has high reliability than static mode. We know UAVs are very complex systems and by increasing complexity of system the modeling and analyzing were complicated. By comparing mentioned methods, the appropriate and efficient method in reliability of these systems is Bayesian Networks. With complexity in systems we need to programmable methods to decrease the faults in modeling and evaluating. BN approach is powered by some programs but BayesiaLab software is very powerful in this method. Finally, characteristics of methodologies and related conditions convince us for selecting the efficient reliability analysis approach and in this study, it is BN method.

This platform will collect and provide long-term access to conference presentation videos, encompassing all technology areas within ASME's technical conference and events program. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
