Recent work on the development of amphiphilic small molecules targeting amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques and oligomers will be included in this presentation. These compounds exhibit high binding affinity to different Aβ species in vitro, ex vivo and show promising therapeutic results in mouse neuroblastoma N2a cells. Overall, these studies suggested the development of compounds with amphiphilic properties can be an effectively strategy for small molecule-based treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
