To design a new drug, different physicochemical parameters need to consider. Among the several parameters, intramolecular or intermolecular electronic interactions are the most important factors. The dipole moment is directly related to the charge distribution in a molecule. This study illustrates the synthesis, biological activity, and structure-activity relationships of diverse compounds. The relationships between dipole moment and biological activities of diverse molecules are discussed. Many compounds demonstrate a direct correlation between biological activity and dipole moment. Therefore, by analyzing the dipole moment values, scientists may design more potent compounds prior to their synthesis which is tedious, costly, and time-consuming.
