Abstract

Before AACT was on the national stage, a lot of research went into setting it up. One of the models that served as a source of information for the development of AACT was the Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas, or ACT2. This teacher-run association has been actively supporting chemical education in Texas for 40 years, and has provided teachers with resources, opportunities for chemistry specific professional development, and network of colleagues that extends beyond the borders. During this brief showcase of some of the Best of ACT2, take a look at some of what this chemistry family in Texas has to offer.
