Dihedral angles of the anomeric mixture 1-α,-β-R-5-O-methanesulfonyl-2,3-O-isopropilidene-L-lyxose 1-4 are calculated from vicinal coupling constant 3JHH - proton or/and carbon chemical shift - ratio α-H3H4:β-H3H4 with 3-sphere and Lambert Wu approach. 3-Sphere approach, a method in four steps under Hopf coordinates and Lie group theories, able to calculate dihedral angles with right stereochemistry and sign from manifold equations. The Lambert-Wu method for calculation the dihedral angles at anomeric position will be used for calculation the R value of the mixture α-H3H4:β-H3H4, instead of the manifold equation.
