Free amines have only rarely been used as directing groups in C–H activation and olefin functionalization. Based on our interest in developing advanced amine derivatives, we will present our efforts to use free amines as substrates for alkene functionalization and difunctionalization by controlling chain walking during transition metal catalysis.
