In this presentation, I will reflect on my having been a mentor to women, who were (or weren’t) in my chemistry classes and research laboratory, and were (and weren’t) impacted by the COVID pandemic, and to consider how those interactions enhanced their resiliency and provided me with an understanding about the art of mentorship.  Examples, from more than 50 years ago to the present time, will be highlighted.
