Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) can enhance a material's mechanical and electrical properties. Using a combination of dynamic chemistries responsive materials aere reinforced with carbon nanotubes. Multidynamic matrices are developed, using a combination of non-covalent and dynamic covalent linkers. In particular introduction of dynamic Diels-Alder units allows dynamic materials to bond directly to the nanotube surface using furan as a diene to the pi bonds in the CNT. This approach enables facile linking of the mutlidynamic matrix and the CNT reinforcement. Using controlled polymerization, structure property relationships are established between the matrix strucutre and compostion and the overall performance of the CNT nanocomposite.
