Recently, solution processed hybrid perovskites show intriguing electronic and optoelectronic properties applicable in various device application, and the development of high quality materials with substantially improved crystallinity and less defects is crucial. In this talk, we mainly focused on the rational design and controllable synthesis of perovskite materials, and the construction of efficient and stable photovoltaic devices. Three related aspects are discussed: 1) Exploring controllable synthesis of multi-dimensional, low defect, high-quality perovskite crystals by tailoring the composition and microstructure, to understand how composition affects perovskite crystallization dynamics and optoelectronic properties; 2) Developing defects passivation and interface engineering for perovskite materials and solar cells, to achieve high performance photovoltaics with certified efficiency of 24.5%; 3) Proposed corresponding methods to control the defect state and evolution of the perovskite film on the molecular and atomic scales, e.g. Eu2+/Eu3+ redox shuttle to repair the Pb0-I0 defects pair in a sustainable way under operational conditions, which greatly improved the long-term stability of perovskite solar cells.
