Oxathiapiprolin is a new fungicide with extremely high efficacy against oomycete plant pathogens. Inhibiting through oxysterol-binding protein in oomycetes, this compound gives an excellent protection for tomato, potato, grapes and cucurbits plants against range of plant pathogenic oomycetes, including Phytophthora infestans, Pseudoperonospora cubensis,Plasmopara viticola. We have developed novel chemical classes with interesting biological efficacy against oomycetes.Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of these compounds will be presented.
