In this presentation, I describe the use of a flow anode reactor in which the anode is a flowing suspension of conducting particles. I will show that surface-located oxidants can be generated at low energy cost in this reactor and effectively drive indirect oxidation of contaminants at the surfaces of the flow anode particles. The effectiveness of this process for oxidation of selected target contaminants will be described as will challenges in scaling up this interesting concept to full scale.
