In the talk, I will discuss some of our recent efforts to understand the interplay between atomic motions and the photophysical properties of lead halide perovskites. Particular attention will be placed on lower dimensional constructs, like nanowires and quantum well structures. Molecular dynamics simulations extended by quantum-classical techniques and simple theories will be used rationalize experimental observations.
