Centellosides are phytopharmaceuticals produced by the medicinal plant Centella asiatica. Pharma industry interested in them given their multiple therapeutic activities. Plant biotechnology is suitable and eco-friendly strategy for their bioproduction. A better understanding of how to control the metabolism of centellosides, metabolic engineering strategies can be applied to increase production. The omics sciences simplify the analysis of these responses. In this project NMR and HPLC-MS metabolomics will reveal how to control the production of Centellosides in Plant Biofactories.

Metabolomics-derived insights into the regulation and control of centellosides in hairy roots of Centella asiatica
