Tetrahydrofuran (THF) is a stable compound with a relatively low boiling point (66°C) and multiple applications in various areas of industry as a solvent for reactions and extraction processes in the Petrochemical Industry. The design and simulation of the distillation process requires knowledge of the Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium (VLE) data of a mixture of components that are of great industrial interest. In this work, experimental VLE data were measured for isothermal binary mixtures of THF(1) +benzene (2), and THF(1) +cyclohexane (2) at 303.15 and 338.15 K respectively and isobaric THF(1)+methanol(2) at 103 kPa. The thermodynamic consistency of the measured data was verified by the Herington test. VLE binary data was correlated with models: Margules, Van Laar, Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC and UNIFAC to obtain binary parameters and ac-tivitycoefficients. The reliability of these models was tested by comparing the experimental results using the root mean quadratic deviation (RMSD).
