<p>Machine tools (MTs) are the core manufacturing resources for discrete manufacturing enterprises, which have various types, heterogeneity, dynamic autonomy and other characteristics in the cloud manufacturing environment. The key technical bottleneck that cloud manufacturing service model is difficult to apply to the manufacturing workshop, is cloud access and sharing applications of machine tools. In order to solve the problem, an OSGi-based adaptation access method of machine tools is proposed in this paper. First, the information description model of machine tools in the cloud manufacturing environment is built, and the characteristics are analyzed systematically. Then, an OSGi-based adaptation access implementation framework of machine tools is constructed, which is composed of virtual MT model layer, OSGi-based MT container layer and adaptation access layer. The key enabling technologies,&nbsp;including&nbsp;machine tool information acquisition and processing, Bundle and Subsystem construction, and machine tool adaptation access processes, are studied. Finally, Using an experimental machine tool (5-axis machining center), an application case is conducted to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.The research results not only contribute to realize the integrated and shared application of massive heterogeneous machine tools, but also provide technical support for the further development of the cloud manufacturing service model.</p>

This platform will collect and provide long-term access to conference presentation videos, encompassing all technology areas within ASME's technical conference and events program. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
