This paper deals with stability of walking. Two exercises are experimentally conducted. One is normal walking and the other is treadmill walking. One subject of 1.7 m and 70 kg performed both exercises. The experiments were conducted in the Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.&nbsp;An integrated system consisting of&nbsp;a&nbsp;VICON Motion Analysis System, and AMTI force plates was used to record the trajectories of the markers placed on the subject. This experimental data has been filtered using a Buterworth filter. Then the Lyapunov exponents have been determined for both exercises, so one can conclude on the gait stability in both cases, normal and on treadmill.This paper deals with stability of walking. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
