<p>For PWR, in the event of a break accident, there is a large amount of radioactive aerosol particles ejected from the breach with coolant. The distribution of radioactive aerosol particles determines the radioactivity distribution Therefore, it is of great significance to study the movement of aerosol particles in a breach accident. In this paper, the migration characteristics of radioactive aerosol particles near the wall are studied by theoretical calculations, and the stresses on the aerosol particles are calculated by changing the flow velocity or the size of aerosol particles at the breach, and then the migration characteristics of aerosol particles near the wall are analyzed. The CFD software is used to study the effects of gravity, viscous resistance and thermophoresis force on the aerosol particles in a simplified geometrical model. The effects of flow velocity at the breach, temperature gradient near the wall, and aerosol particle size on the motion state and deposition characteristics of aerosol particles are investigated respectively. It is shown that the CFD software calculation results are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results, the deposition rate of thermophoresis of particles increases with the increase of temperature gradient, decreases with the increase of discharge flow rate, and increases after decreasing with the increase of particle size.</p>

This platform will collect and provide long-term access to conference presentation videos, encompassing all technology areas within ASME's technical conference and events program. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
