Sometimes the geohazards management is perceived as the execution of complex and specialized processes that the geotechnical professionals of the organizations lead together with their technical team through field and office actions; however, certain geohazard management activities can be performed by maintenance and operations professionals, or by other groups interested in integral asset management.The achievement of results achieved by both, and the joint analysis of said results, allows to ensure the monitoring and control of the condition of the asset. Furthermore, a two-way communication between the technical and operational teams allows for an adequate understanding of the condition, and thus a timely decision-making by the directives of the organizations regarding asset management.Based on the author´s experience in geohazards management, a proposal is presented for the structured execution of the integrity and maintenance of hydrocarbon transport systems, focused on the importance of having:- the same understanding about the main aspects that define the culture of the organization (for example: HSE, Process Safety, Maintenance &amp; Operation),- roles and responsibilities of the professionals and teams, and- the proper interactions between teams.The article will present some illustrative cases of the importance of the aspects mentioned in geohazards management, according to the experience of the authors on the subject.
