<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Numerical simulation of the flow of the human coughing &nbsp;is carried out in this work to investigate the extend of the &nbsp;spread of coughed air and its droplets travel&nbsp; based on various parameters. A 2D geometry of the human face is considered located near the centre of the upright length of 2.5x5m rectangular domain that captures the true topology and the inlet of the exhaled air mixture. Numerous parameters needed to be taken into account in order to capture out coming mixture trajectory and to track its concentration evolution as it enters and entrains with the surrounding air. These parameters include mouth opening and the intensity of the cough additional to the size or age category of the person that all dictate the amount and velocity of the exhaled air mixture, the distribution of the mixture fraction and its &nbsp;mist content, the temperature condition of the exhaled mixture and the surrounding air along with its &nbsp;humidity. A multi-species Eulerian flow with a discrete Lagrangian particles is considered which is governed by the mass, momentum, and energy as well as species conservation equations. The results included the spatial and temporal distributions of the species and their velocity contours plots. Specifically, concentration of the exhaled species are captured both spatially and temporally at several hypothetical stations within the domain and away from the source to substantiate/refute the current recommended social distance parameter. Discussion of the concentration evolution and progressive transevaporative will be presented in details and as &nbsp;function of the stated parameters. These results emphasizing the important role of numerical simulation via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) not only for a complex engineering problem (reacting and two-phase flow, porous media or trans-evaporative flow), but also in health and safety related field as in coughing, sneezing and multiple flow trajectories in general.</p>
