<p style="margin: 0pt">The unbonded non-metallic composite flexible riser has different structural features and motion properties from that of&nbsp;metallic&nbsp;ones with inner carcass and wired steel belt layers. With the change of water depths&nbsp;and water flow velocities, the marine&nbsp;used&nbsp;non-metallic composite flexible risers&nbsp;will have different changes in its tube curves&nbsp;and top tension features. This paper studies the mechanical properties of a new type of non-metallic&nbsp;composite flexible risers&nbsp;with&nbsp;catenary configurations&nbsp;under different water levels, water flow&nbsp;velocities&nbsp;and internal pressure of the conveying medium, and numerically simulates the deformation, force distribution&nbsp;and strain/stress characteristics of this new type of flexible riser. The paper uses ORCAFLEX&nbsp;software to establish the finite element model of the unbonded composite hose, and obtains the riser&nbsp;attitude curve under different water depths and flow rates according to the pipeline stiffness, constraint conditions and ship working conditions, and then determines the top tension change and bending moment distribution along the pipeline, therefore&nbsp;provides a reference basis&nbsp;for the design of the flexible risers. Simulation results show that the pressure inside the hose can increase the stiffness of the pipeline to a certain extent, thus affect the configuration of the catenary&nbsp;line, and the movement behavior and top tension&nbsp;changes&nbsp;of the riser. This platform will collect and provide long-term access to conference presentation videos, encompassing all technology areas within ASME's technical conference and events program. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
