Teaching Chemistry online is one of the challenging tasks presented to me when the college decided to close due to the pandemic. This presentation aims to share with you my experiences in teaching Chemistry for Tulsa Community College students in both online and blended modes. Some of the experiences have been satisfactory and others have allowed me to improve as the courses have been developed. Some of the tools used for the teaching of Chemistry in the subject Principles of Chemistry (4 credits) are detailed below. In the blended course modality, the students had a meeting of 3 hours every 15 days to carry out some laboratory practices and also to discuss some theoretical aspects of the course. 1- As a course platform, the BlackBoard was used, which is a platform that allows the organization of the course interactively so that students can access different resources, announcements, evaluations, etc. 2- For the conferences, the Quizziz application was used, which allows making presentations and at the same time inserting feedback questions to guarantee the active participation of students, this application also allows inserting web pages, images, and videos. 3- Screencastify was the tool used to create videos that were later published on a YouTube channel, this tool has recently included the possibility of including questions within the video that help interactivity. 4- For the laboratories, some practices that are currently available for free on the Internet were used, such as the Titration and Synthesis of ASpirin, another option was to assign laboratories to do at home, such as the determination of the pH of different products that are in the houses such as detergents, vinegar, coffee, you using the red cabbage for this. Until the end of the recent summer course, the results obtained have been satisfactory, since more than 90% of the students have finished the course, with grades of C onwards.
