Synthetic polymers are attractive substrates for the development of dynamic switches with modular chemical and physical properties; however, there currently are few strategies for the rapid development of libraries of copolymers with modular backbones and functionality. While polymer libraries can be synthesized, frequently each polymer must be synthesized individually. We will describe our progress towards the development of a library of block copolymers coupled together with DNA. This strategy will enable future screens of block copolymer libraries to identify smart materials and expand the landscape of structure function relationships for block copolymers.
