A Telegram quiz bot was created to support retrieval practice for students in an environmental chemistry course. This Telegram quiz bot was coded using Python. The quiz bot encompasses a gamification element where students play with their friends and compete. The quiz bot facilitates content mastery of concepts in this course by the use of active recall. 52% of respondents agreed that the quiz bot gave them confidence in answering questions related to the course, while 61% agreed that the quiz bot allowed them to better organize concepts of their syllabi.
