In this presentation, the author will highlight process route design of structurally complex agrochemical candidates. These molecules have multiple chiral centers and a challenging structure moftifs such as 9-membered macrocycle. Early stage process research guided by green chemistry principles has led to several effective synthesis routes starting from bio-based materials such as lactate and amino acids.
