Utilizing thermal-based agents (TAs) in cancer thermal-based therapy has demonstrated promising results in clinical studies. Rapid degradation of TAs can address safety concerns, but it tends to limit the thermal-based stability required for high-efficacy treatments. On the other hand, TAs with high thermal-based stability tend to degrade slowly. Solutions that address the trade-off between high thermal-based stability and rapid degradation of TAs are limited. Here we report the use of two-dimensional-material polymer-based structures that can increase thermal-based stability, and simultaneously, maintain good biodegradability. This method enables excellent biocompatibility. Moreover, high efficacy of treatment was achieved, thus promising great clinical potential.
