The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) ACS Student Chapter works to create an environment for chemistry students to learn more about their degrees and how to be successful following their undergraduate education. At our general meetings, we have covered topics including how to get involved in undergraduate research, what careers you can have with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, and what the path to graduate school looks like. We focus on creating a supportive environment for students, fostering relationships between the faculty and students, and creating a mentorship program to connect underclassmen with upperclassmen. During National Chemistry Week, we held a watch party for the NCW ChemClash Game Show along with our own board game night later in the week. To better serve our community, the Chemistry Club volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. We also performed science demonstrations at the on-campus child study center and at the Science Museum of Oklahoma.
