The reticular design of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as photoactive materials provides avenues for enhanced photoredox catalysis. Due to their reticular nature, photocatalyst MOFs can be fine-tuned to exhibit low optical bandgaps and increased photoactivity by utilizing light harvesting groups in the link design. Additionally, the expansion of the pore size in these MOFs allows for increased mass transport rates providing further enhancements in photoredox activity. Here, we present a series of titania MOFs featuring a photoinduced charge separated state which, when combined with the inclusion of light harvesting groups using a multivariate (MTV) approach, can be utilized for enhanced photoredox activity. This work investigates the roles of the charge separated state, pore size, and electronic structure on the photoredox catalysis in this family of isoreticular MOFs.
