Air pollution is becoming a growing global problem. That is why new precise, flexible, and versatile methods for real-time, continuous, multipoint measurements and monitoring of the air quality are developed. In this article, a new distributed air pollution measurement system that uses an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and numerous mobile measurement stations equipped with maintenance-free sensors, is presented. They all together form a smart and precise internet of things-type data collecting network. With the UAV it is possible to collect samples with the use of sorption tubes from chosen places including those which are hard to reach. This date is then precisely analysed off-line with the respective laboratory methods and equipment. These results are used to increase precision of the parallel realized numerous real-time measurements using a wide variety of versatile sensors (of temperature, humidity, concentration of particulate matter, CO, CO<sub>2</sub>, NO<sub>2</sub>, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds). The data is collected on a web server and marked on an intelligent interactive map, making future predictions possible. With the web server the measured data can be accessed anywhere and any when via the internet. This makes the proposed system smart, flexible, and universal.
