The importance of promoting gender diversity in chemistry has been well documented as a means to benefit the chemical enterprise and promote scientific progress. Nonetheless, at all levels of chemistry education, more women than men are lost from the educational pipeline, necessitating a broad-based effort to address these issues. Reviewed herein are efforts made to promote girls and women in science at all levels, from elementary school outreach activities and chemistry birthday parties, to middle school girls’ science camp, to hands-on high school internships, work with undergraduate women, and efforts to encourage women after college graduation to remain committed to the chemical enterprise.<br/>This work is presented in conjunction with receiving the 2022 ACS Award for Encouraging Women into Careers in the Chemical Sciences, and with gratitude to all of my collaborators who have worked with me on the myriad of successful programs and initiatives.
