This paper presents results from an online survey with BEV owners and ICEV owners, and results from 15 in-depth interviews with BEV owners. The aim of the study was to 1) develop knowledge concerning end-user experiences of using public fast charging services in Norway and 2) map BEV owners and future BEV owner’s usability needs in terms of charging services. Respondents report experiencing several usability issues when using public fast chargers. Many of the issues BEV-users experience can be traced back to the diversity of service providers in the fast charging market, which each have developed their own charging systems.
