This paper presents procedure for designing an integrated chassis controller that integrates three groups of actuators for the electric vehicle (EV) with independent electric motors. The controlled actuators are the in-wheel electric motors, active suspension and braking system. The controller has been designed and validated using a distributed X-in-the-loop network of test benches. The proposed design approach allows to test the developed controller on a vehicle model in real time and on hardware components.
