The construction of complex polymers from disperse building blocks generates materials with high structural heterogeneity. A versatile and scalable strategy to prepare synthetic bottlebrush polymers with discrete side chains and truly monodisperse structures (D = 1.0) will be described. This talk will describe the importance of macromonomer dispersity and how side chain parameters truly affect the assembly behaviors and thermomechanical properties of bottlebrush polymers.
