Polypyrrole alkaloids, represented by curvulamine and the bipolamines, are bioactive natural products with unusual strucutral motifs. We have developed expedient and stereoselective approaches to this family of natural products.  We are further leveraging these molecules as chemical probes to uncover their activity and potency against bacterial pathogens.
