The synthesis and <i>in vitro</i> evaluation of neutral oximes originating from the structure-activity relationship (SAR)-based chemical remodeling of the centrally active acetylcholinesterase (AChE) reactivator LLNL-02 is presented.  Structural modifications that mainly involved the shortening of the azepine nucleus in LLNL-02 to a six-membered ring as well as the addition of substituents (<i>e.g</i>. nitro, methoxy and alkyl groups) to the phenyl ring in the benzoazepine moiety of the oxime will be discussed.
