The continuous progress in glycoscience is contingent on improved access to carbohydrate derivatives and glycoconjugates. Recent advancements in the field of catalysis have resulted in the emergence of new methods that may streamline the preparation of such derivatives. This presentation will summarize our work on the development of new organocatalytic and photo- and electrochemical transformations that result in regio- and stereoselective formation of valuable glycosides and carbohydrate derivatives.
