Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have two degenerate valleys which can be used to store and process information for quantum computing. Valley polarization or selective population of a valley has been achieved in TMDs by using mechanical strain, strong magnetic fields, or optical pumping with circularly polarized light at cryogenic temperatures. Recently, valley polarization in heterostructures of TMDs/chiral lead halide perovskites has also been demonstrated where chirality is transferred via selective spin injection from chiral perovskite to TMD at 78 K. Here we report robust valley polarization in TMD/chiral perovskite heterostructures at room temperature. We measure the right and left circularly polarized components of the photoluminescence of the heterostructures after exciting with a linearly polarized laser and obtain 5% degree of polarization at 293 K. Furthermore, by measuring the PL map and time resolved PL and absorption we also investigate the charge transfer dynamics in these systems. Our results at room temperature considerably reduce the cost and complexity of cryogenic measurements and bring valleytronics based quantum computing a step closer to practical applications.
