3D Printing provides many opportunies for advanced materials synthesis. To date however, many of the photocurable resin systems that are in common use are based on petrochemical derived acrylic or epoxy-based chemistries. Despite this, the ability to create sustinably sourced materials would greatly enhance the sustainability and green chemical credentials of the materials in use in this sector. To this end, focussing on the application of sustainably sourced monomers in photocurable resins has been investigated for application in 3D printing.
