In general, palladium (II) based catalysts have been well known for C-H activation reactions. However, the use of expensive and not readily accessible Pd catalysts and ligands often complicates the process of pharmacological application of these compounds. A plausible way to overcome this issue is developing and using cheaper, more accessible, water friendly and equally effective ruthenium-based catalysts. New results of immobilized Ruthenium formato catalyst MCAT-53 <sup>TM</sup> to effect C-H activated Carbon- carbon coupling reactions in water for continuous manufacturing will be presented.
