The United States Department of Agriculture Pesticide Data Program (USDA−PDP)<br/>provides residue information on highly consumed foods of children and some specialty commodities (e.g., honey, corn syrup, infant formula). PDP provides realistic residue data and is used by the U.S. EPA and Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) of Health Canada to refine their dietary exposure assessment. The PDP was established in 1991 and analyzes approximately 10 000 samples each year, including approximately 450 pesticides and their breakdown products.  This work uses the publicly available monitoting data from the USDA PDP website (https://www.ams.usda.gov/datasets/pdp/pdpdata) to examine trends in the reported residues for animal commodities (meat, milk, eggs, etc.) in the U.S. diet. Several additional public databases and websites were used to categorize findings based on use patterns and physical-chemical properties. Observed residue levels have been categorized and examined as follows: Pesticide Type, Food Handling Establishments, Environmental Contaminants, Veterinary Uses, Log K<sub>ow, </sub>and Molecular Weight. This talk investigates trends for pesticide residue levels and detection frequencies within these categories. This overview of the realistic residues in animal commodities provides information for a more accurate and reliable estimates of dietary risk.
