The carbon fiber reinforced composites(CFRC) exhibit indispensable contributions in the aerospace, transport, infrastructure fields, by virtue of the high mechanical strength, good electrical conductivity, and stability within environment. However, the over-usage of the CFRC have brought out environment pollution problems, which are required to tackle out immediately. The thermal deccompostion strategies are adopted widely as effective and efficient methods to recycle the carbon fibers, but inevitbly facing the problem of the electrical conductivity and mechanical strength degradation due to the oxidation process during the removing of residual carbon. In this oral-presentation, we propose a facile and scalable strategy to tailor the characteristic of the recycled carbon fibers and improve the electrical conductivity by anchoring MXene naoosheets. After assembling into hetero-structure, the composites integrate multi-functions, including Electromagnetic sheilding, Photo-thermal conversion, Electro-thermal conversion. The mechanisms of the performance will be discussed by adopting XRD, Raman, XPS, FT-IR, SEM characterization. We believe this strategy can pave the way for the re-utilization of the waste CFRC toward the next-generation multi-functional devices.
