The discovery and development of conductive two-dimensional (2D) metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) can enable a unique bottom-up approach to the design of functional interfaces for electroanalysis that merge the features of an electrocatalyst and electrode into one material. This unique feature enables bottom-up synthetic control over emergent and synergistically integrated structure-property relationships of chemical stability, sensitivity, and selectivity. Our research has laid the groundwork for the development of experimental strategies that emphasize novel molecular design and templated integration of framework materials into electronic devices.<br/>This poster will describe the design and implementation of 2D MOFs as highly versatile components in electroanalytical devices. Emphasis will be placed on the molecular design of targeted structure-property relationships, electroanalytical function, and applicability to portable textile-based devices. The methods and devices described in this presentation have the potential to advance the development of MOFs in electroanalytical applications.
