It is well known that accumulation of excessive amounts of GHG (Green house Gases), predominantly CO2, have lead to dangerously high temperatures (Ref 1) here calleTa ( for the abnormal rise in oC above that before the Industrial Revolution). It is shown that Ta is directly related to the concentration of CO2 by: Ta = 0.01 x (ppmv CO2)- 3.0 oC Thus lowering Ta requires removing CO2 from the atmosphere. It is also well known that CO2 is routinely being removed from the atmosphere to support photosynthesis .here called PSF for (the PhotoSynthesis Flow), using psf for rate in GT/yr and PSF in GT for the amount in a given period. PSF is calculated from the disparity between the amount of CO2 known to be added to the atmosphere and the gain of CO2 there which is consistently less. Knowledge of PSF is essential because changes in CO2 concentration for any period depend on the difference between emissions of CO2, and PSF. Using the value of PSF calculated here it is demonstrated that: Without reduction of emissions CO2 concentration and abnormal temperature, Ta, will increase steadily to 1.5 oC within 10 years and to 2.0 oC within 30 years. With emissions reduced by 100% in 30 years CO2 concentration and Ta will decrease spontaneously to 375 ppmv and 0.75oC by 2069 and for 85% reduction of emissions in 30 years to 375 ppmv and 0.75 oC by 2087. Therefore drastic or complete reduction of emissions is an essential first step for solution of the climate problem. If this is done first, PSF leads spontaneously to reduction of both CO2 concentration and abnormal temperature rise, Ta.
