In this study, a ferrous oxalate,manganese oxalate (FeC2O4,MnC2O4) composite catalyst was synthesized by a simple chemical co-precipitation method using a composite enhancement method as an efficient heterogeneous fenton catalyst. The catalytic performance of the composite catalyst was also evaluated by degrading rhodamine b. The molar ratio of ferrous oxalate to copper oxalate was 6:1, and the catalytic performance of the composite catalyst was found to be the best when compared with various concentration ratios. Compared with the ferrous oxalate catalyst prepared by the same method, in the same catalytic degradation process (catalyst dosage of 1 g/L, hydrogen peroxide dosage of 40 mg/L, rhodamine b concentration of 40 mg/L, initial pH of 7, reaction temperature of 20°), the degradation efficiency of the composite catalyst FeC2O4, MnC2O4 for Rhodamine B at two minutes of reaction was higher than 90%, which was better than that of FeC2O4 catalyst. The enhanced effect was attributed to the fact that Mn2+ and Fe2+ formed a complex active site for efficient re-excitation reaction, which enhanced the reduction efficiency of Fe3+ to Fe2+ and enhanced the catalytic performance of the catalyst. The composite catalyst had the same self-activation phenomenon as the ferrous oxalate catalyst.
