A bifunctional electrocatalyst requires superior charge transfer and good electrochemical performance to produce a water splitting reaction that is overall efficient and stable. Perovskite Oxides (ABO3) are attracting attention in electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction but poor in hydrogen evolution reaction. Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) are showing great promise as hydrogen evolution reaction catalysts for acidic conditions because of their intrinsic crystal structure and rich HER active sites. Here, we successfully synthesized the LaFeO3@MoSe2 composites via a simple two-step hydrothermal method, which exhibited an efficient OER and HER performance with a lower overpotential of 186mV and 280mV at 10mA cm-2. Also, LaFeO3@MoSe2 composites have a lower Tafel slope value of 70mV dec-1 compared with simple LaFeO3 perovskite oxides owing to the synergistic effect of MoSe2 composite. In the overall water splitting system, the composite showed excellent stability at 100mA cm-2 over 100 h. These LaFeO3@MoSe2 composites will provide the way for the development of designing other bifunctional electrocatalysts and give new paradigm in overall water splitting
