Forensic science is often defined as the application of science to the law, with the systematic and individual biases of each field may rarely or incompletely be explored in forensic science classrooms or laboratories. This talk will focus on the challenges and opportunities of teaching a chemistry course for non-majors that explores how culture influences forensic science, criminal investigations, and social justice.
