The COVID-19 worldwide pandemic has highlighted the need for tracking the spread of disease in real time. Wastewater surveillance provides some unique attributes for this application. In this Tech Talk; an overview of wastewater surveillance will be provided in the context of systems at varying scales (campus and city scale). Challenges will also be discussed as well as future considerations for the development of broader wastewater surveillance programs.

EWRI Technical Session #3: Tracking COVID-19 - The Search for Disease through Wastewater Surveillance: Applications and Future Considerations

The ASCE Convention is the Society's flagship membership event.
