This presentation describes the development and application of high-throughput workflows for metal-organic framework (MOF) catalysts in organic transformations. MOFs possess several notable advantages over other heterogenous catalysts such as extensive structural diversity and high tunability. These properties have been leveraged to effect size, regio- or chemo- selective transformations that are challenging to achieve in other catalyst platforms. However, identification of active and selective MOF catalysts remains a significant challenge. Subtle changes to the MOF pore structure can affect activity and selectivity but are challenging to predict. High-throughput workflows for optimization of catalyst properties is a potential solution to this challenge but is complicated by the poor handling properties of MOFs. They are insoluble staticky solids. Herein we describe methods for accurate and precise evaluation of MOF catalysts on small scales. Approaches for the high-throughput quantification of reactor dosing is also described. Finally, application of high-throughput workflows to novel organic transformations is presented.
