The Pre-Pharmacy Club at South Texas College acts as a catalyst to better prepare students in becoming the future leading pharmacists. The Pre-Pharmacy Club at South Texas College is set at a Hispanic-serving institution that allows for the growth and development of an under-served population, therefore providing opportunities in pharmacy to a group of multicultural and multigenerational students. The Pre-Pharmacy Club aims to serve as a junction between pharmacy schools in Texas and students by facilitating events where representatives of pharmacy schools travel to South Texas College to speak on behalf of the pharmacy schools about admissions and the application process, as well as providing opportunities for students to travel to pharmacy schools throughout Texas. The Pre-Pharmacy Club also prides itself in philanthropic work in the Rio Grande Valley’s community.
