Chiral vicinal quaternary carbon stereocenters conatining α-amino ketones is omnipresent in natural products, drug molecules and pharmaceuticals, but still present their chemical synthesis is a challenging task. Now a days allyl boronic acids are used as a important allylating agent for the genaration of vicinal quateranry centers by coupling with either ketone or imine as a electrophiles. Herein we report a mild diasterselective allylation of both ketone and imine in selective way and their application in total synthesis of (+)-Haplindole Q and (-)-12-epi-Hapalindole Q isonitrile.
